About ESG Artio

ESG Artio is the study association of the study associations of the Environmental Science Group at Wageningen University, which contains combined over 2500 members since 2024. They organise activities like company days, galas and excursions, but also more regular activities like pubquizes and movie nights. This way you can meet new people from other study associations in a cozy environment.

Short History​

Before 2024, ESG Artio used to be known as just the Environmental Science Group (ESG) or Omgevingswetenschappen (OW) in Dutch. Not many people knew of the ESG and the name was confusingly shared with the ESG department of the WUR. To make the group of study associations more recognisable and familiar to members, a logo and name were created; Artio, the Celtic goddess of fertility and bears.
